I believe Hamas is simply using the people of Gaza as basically a human resource to try and convince the world how terrible Israel is.
Hamas cares nothing for the people of Gaza, they are just disposable pawns in Iran game.

They are the ones causing these tragedies.

I don't think so. Not when civilians allow themselves to be used as human shields for emotional blackmail. They've crossed the line.

The IDF are justified in their collateral damage against Civilians who are willingly being human shields in their Death to Jews/Israel aim.
