Some women like to scuttle away like crabs, and so would have little use for or attraction to an alpha.

As neuroscientist Dean Burnett suggested:

“Maybe the supposed human alpha male is a combination of disgruntled male wish fulfilment and borderline-pseudoscientific justification for resorting to bullying, intimidation and generally all-round unpleasant behaviour by men hoping to impose their will on a world they find too complex and unnerving so revert to their baser instincts to get what they want, despite knowing deep down they don’t deserve it and shouldn’t have it?”

Maybe indeed.

So women don't like arseholes, pricks or c~nts, then... who does?
As de Waal observed, chimps don't like them either...

As Sapolsky noted, baboons don't like them either... and they're all naturally nasty bastards.

The Myth of the Alpha Male

Single straight guys: If you want to attract more women, research suggests you should cultivate kindness and altruism.

As the story typically goes, there are two types of men.

“Alpha” males are those at the top of the social status hierarchy. They have greater access to power, money, and mates, which they gain through physical prowess, intimidation, and domination. Alphas are typically described as the “real men.” In contrast are the “Beta” males: the weak, submissive, subordinate guys who are low status

If single guys take Mothras advice they will be taking the hot ladys cat to the vet while some Alpha male will be taking her out and banging her.

There is a lot of truth in nice guys finish last
It's wired into female biology they want a man who can protect and provide for them women look for a man of status.

Alphas usually have a partner which makes them attractive to other women.

Betas are single women look at them think they're worthless because they don't have a partner why would they be attracted to someone who can't attract other women.

Women don't like needy beta males they prefer Alphas who have options which is why there is truth in treat them mean to keep them keen.
Alphas don't care for women who aren't serious they will break up with them and get someone younger slimmer and better.

When i was a bouncer i had at least 6 ladies give me indecent proposals every night. I still have ex girlfriends contact me on FB to see if i am interested.

If you take Mothras advice you will be like all the incels she relates to in this forum.

Women don't write songs about Betas

This song was about Alpha male

Take note with lyrics
Everyone noticed him when he walked in
All the girls dreamed he would be their partner
He got the pretty girl
He dumped pretty girl
She mentions him banging others because he had options he wouldn't settle for mediocre

A good degree of truth in that.

Women don't need to have a man provide cash nowadays as they have cash of their own.

But they do need a man to provide lots of good emotions.
They want cocky funny stable guys who are usually the type of guys who do have options.

Data show a man will leave a woman if she loses her sex appeal ( pretty slack of men) and a woman is most likely to leave a man if he loses his job ( pretty slack of women)

And it's not so much the job loss causing less cash,

It's the job loss knocking his confidence, his fun, his good emotions.

Atva biological level a woman fears her kids getting picked on at school.getting shafted in life.

Hence why she wants that confident assertive calm courageous semen.

It's why firefighters get laid

The Myth of the Alpha Male

So, in a few posts, we went from "An almost unanimously rejected idea by behavioural scientists" to: all behavioural scientists agree that alphas exist.

Of course they all agree. All social animal, and human societies, are hierarchical, and an alpha is at the pinnacle of every hierarchy within them. What is a captain of a sports team if not the team's alpha?

What they criticise is the misuse of the term that includes, as alpha traits: aggression, abuse, violence, intimidation etc...

And they'd be right on that.

Those are nearly always the characteristics of non-alpha behaviour - those (overtly male, covertly female) of low status in a hierarchy attempting to challenge those of high status, using intimidation and tantrums.

Weirdly enough, men do...

'I'm a Loser' UFO
'Loser' Jerry Garcia
'Loser' Beck
'Poor Poor Pitiful Me' Warren Zevon
'Even the Losers' Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
'Three Time Loser' Rod Stewart
'Beautiful Loser' Bob Seger
'King Midas in Reverse' The Hollies
'Deacon Blues' Steely Dan
'I'm a Loser' The Beatles
'Creep' Radiohead

etc...

Although it subscribes to a species of the much-maligned 'horseshoe theory', our literature and societies have a place for the individual so low in the social hierarchy, his status flips.

He takes the role of the Joker, the court jester, the Fool, the hermit, the mendicant monk, etc...

Those who have rejected status to seek 'the truth', or to see things as they really are, who are permitted to speak truth to power - to the alpha - as if they were peers.

And they're usually held in the highest regard, higher often than the alpha himself, the most famous western one being Socrates, among others, such as the Russian monk, Abel.

Wow. A stunning example of ego before reality. Go on you, keep teeling yourself you're right. We both know you certainly will after this post.

Meanwhile, for those grounded in reality ... a single phrase from each of articles is posted, aside from the videos:

mothra wrote on May 14th, 2025 at 7:48pm:
The popularization of these terms to describe humans has been widely criticized by scientists.

[b][size=12 But one really persistent myth, that is literally costing human lives, is the distinction between “alpha” and “beta” males.

mothra wrote on May 14th, 2025 at 8:49pm:
The "alpha male" theory, while popular, is not scientifically credible when applied to humans. eatly categorized into "alpha" and "beta" labels.

mothra wrote on May 14th, 2025 at 9:07pm:

But when you delve into scientific research, there’s little evidence to suggest alpha males are anything more than a myth.

And most importantly:

mothra wrote on May 14th, 2025 at 9:09pm:
The black and white notion of alpha and beta men doesn’t hold up because masculinity is much more multidimensional - as are people generally.

She said -
