We should have the death penalty for such serious crimes.

No.

We're a civilised country.

Civilised people don't carry out premeditated killings.

Those who do, end up in prison for 33 years.

And rightfully so.

Greggy,
you're a weak Beta male -
criminals take advantage of people like you.

We need to return to 19th century British justice
when they would hang em and hang em high.

Child killers should be tortured to death. A 5 year process of agonizing torture to near death then medically rehabilitated then the process starts again.

🤣

Just wondering why one victim she killed was worth 5 years left goal than the others she murdered?

I appreciate judges are untouchable in our current society/ system but I would love to hear from someone to speculate about his decision and why one life taken is worth less then another?

Prisons probably not that bad for an old woman. Good food
Health care. A library. A gym.
Probably like a nursing home but without all the really old crumbley people moaning and calling out in the night.

I think prison would be horrific if you were 20 but for an old duck with no friends.  OK.

she will probably get a job as a consultant about a Netflix series based on herself as well.

Compared to being homeless, she has done quite well

She's a drama queen - she'd hate jail.

She had it all - a nice house, plenty of money -
why the hell did she murder all her best friends?

Scoot she's only 50 - that's not old.

If she does her 33 years non parole - she would probably classed as old & grumbly (not crumbley  Grin) - though you never know.

I'm sure there are plenty of young phukked in the head prisoners who cry out in the night .....

especially those on the receiving end(pun intended)whether they be male or female.  Grin

Dog only knows what goes through judge's minds... you'd think such a crime was worth the full penalty for each case and consecutive.  I'll say again - there is always some doubt... but in this case the convicted herself lost the case by spreading here stories firstly and then too thinly.

"Ummmm - Woolworths?"

Erin Patterson wants a re-trial -   she'll get nowhere -
the lawyers are just draining the last penny of money out of her.

How murderer Erin Patterson will fight her convictions

William Ton
Wed 5 November 2025 at 6:39 pm AEDT
3 min read

Mushroom murderer Erin Patterson is challenging her conviction on seven grounds, taking issue with jury management during deliberations and "oppressive" prosecution questioning while she gave evidence in her trial.

The 51-year-old was convicted and jailed for life in September with a non-parole period of 33 years after being found guilty of murdering her former in-laws, Don and Gail Patterson, 70, and Gail's sister Heather Wilkinson, 66.

A jury found she deliberately served beef Wellingtons laced with death cap mushrooms to her lunch guests in July 2023 at her Leongatha home in regional Victoria.

She’s actually got an appeal up.

Will she get off or a reduced sentence?

Stranger things have happened in our courts

P.s she has every right to appeal.

It pays for her solicitors holidays over Christmas in Hawaii

Lawyer: "Go on Erin. Pay us to appeal for you. You won't win of course, because they already proved you guilty. I mean, what have you got to lose except the last of your money - not that you'll ever see it again anyway"
