President-elect Donald Trump has announced that he will forgo the presidential salary for his upcoming term, echoing a decision he reportedly made during his first term in office. The move has drawn comparisons to historical figures like George Washington, who initially declined a salary but later accepted it to avoid setting an unrealistic precedent for future leaders.

Presidents can't legally forego their wage. They have to give it away.

DL promised to do that last time round. Strange, there are no records of any donations during his final year in office, so he even reneged on that.

MSN that one, dear.

Oh look - you've gone.

You are lying, of course, despicable paki arse sniffer (may I call you sniffer?)

Why do you have to?

There are records of his donations, I know the service veterans got $500,000 so yeah you have to eat sh1t on that one.

Quote:
Today, President Donald J. Trump demonstrated his dedication to America’s heroes of tomorrow by announcing his second-quarter salary will be donated to the Department of Education. The funds will be used to host a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)-focused camp for students. This announcement is the latest step that President Trump has taken in order to inspire interest in the STEM related areas of study and ensure that Americans are being trained for the jobs of the future.

Quote:
It is true that Trump donated his 2019 fourth quarter salary to the Department of Health and Human Services to help combat the new coronavirus.

politics is a dirty business.

elizabeth warren and bernie sanders both took millions from big pharma and denied it.

and they are 2  politicians who seemed reputable.

so we cant get rid of coruption.

its part of the system

what we can focus on instead is inefficiency

thats a problem that is orders of magnitude bigger.

so what if some polly took a million.

when doge has uncovered maybe 500 billion already

thats an enormous cost to the taxpayer

dont spend time sweating the small stuff.

shrink the size of government

musk thinks he can get the government down from 500 agencies to maybe 100.

thats way less corruption that is even possible

and donny isnt in it for the cash. he nearly went broke with lawfar

and neither is elon. he's apparently sleeping at the government offices on the floor with his team as they go thru the books and sack the dead wood.

someone willing to sleep on a floor is passionate and it aint about getting comfortable easy cash

That's right, dear. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders took millions in small donations from people employed in health care.

Yes, nurses, OTs, physios and the kinds of specialists that treat Mrs Scoot's nervous problems.

It's the kind of factcheck any fool could do, but you'd prefer to go the fake news angle.

And that's okay. The Real Americans like a bit of a bullshitartist, no?

Problem for you is, it blows your entire argument out if the water in one go. Donny is hardly a politician who seems reputable, now is he?

So, why don't you tell us how much big pharma gave him?

So it was the big pharma that pushed to have RFK.

Still won't say, eh?

You get that.

Now, Pfizer and the trade group the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) rank among the organizations that have helped Trump raise a record-setting $150 million in pledges to fuel this month’s inauguration festivities, The New York Times reported over the weekend, citing sources tied to the fundraising efforts.

So, now that Aquascoot's done the bolt, feel like correcting the record on Lizzie and Bernie?

Or would you rather ask us another question?

Plans to, does he?

How admirable. So, how much does he plan to gut from education, old boy?

That's an easy one. Up for it?

Me

My thoughts on this have already been posted, all donations are the same, its all a rort. Warren had no idea where the money come from for her book deals, you know how that works don't you.
Its like trying to sort rice seeds into sizes.

If you want you can ask another question.

No mention of his final year in office there.

What happened to his salary that year, in particular the last six months?

Yeah like that is something the media are going to cover.

Did you see their faces when he won the election in a landslide.

The White House (and subsequently the media) reported where his salary went every six months when he was in office ... except for the last six months.

Why didn't the White House reveal where that last $200,000 went?

Me

My thoughts on this have already been posted, all donations are the same, its all a rort.

I see. So when big pharma doesn't really donate to Lizzie, it's all a rort.

But when big pharma gives millions to your DL, your thoughts have already been posted.

Good show. Ever get the feeling you've been completely and utterly fisted?
