.... for the tides they are a-changing.... here's a little thing I wrote elsewhere - no - I am not Jordan Peterson - Jordie and I are two great minds and often think alike without necessarily agreeing with one another 100%, but I lack his formal education and relative ease of lifestyle - I'm still at The Front:-
What is a transgender child?
A unicorn. Children’s feelings, though real, are essentially formless and infinitely mobile and malleable. That is precisely why they should not be exposed to oddball ideas.
On top of that a child exposed on the Promethean rock of a dysfunctional family will seek desperately for something to cling to - and that in itself can be dangerous in that they become susceptible to cults and other fads and rather than simply checking those out, out of normal curiosity, they adopt them as whole truths.
Later, in adolescence, there begins the formation of the adult, and in boys particularly, but also in girls, there develops what I call the search for ‘a path for their valour’. It’s a book title written about the 101st Airborne in the dismantling years between Korea and Vietnam and I find it apt. Young men and women search for such a path - a way of life that they can adhere to and show to the world their worthiness and value as a team member.
Boys particularly, given the nature of being a man, tend to seek out some worthy ‘cause’ to FIGHT for and thus ennoble themselves to a group or society at large. This is utilised by governments to recruit for the military, and especially in times of extreme conflicts; some become ‘gangstahs’ to prove their manhood and valour; others seek whatever path is available to them. Thus some become ‘transgender activists’, and manage to look absolutely absurd wearing women’s clothing while sporting a beard.
Girls are somewhat different - and these days have sadly been raised on a social diet overly rich in female supremacism, past “oppression”, and chips on their shoulders, along with such fatuous concepts as ‘the patriarchy’ (the reality of which is that it is a class of people not a defined male group or men only group style of control over others), and these days girls are also urged to ‘take up arms’ to prove themselves by ‘being better’ at education and so forth (although they attain this by having privilege added to their education standards and opportunities by the self-same ‘patriarchy’ which is itself comprised of both men and women for its own purposes - namely social division and discord so as to facilitate actual control and supremacy). And so they, in turn, reach for ‘cults’ and other systems of belief…. and some of them also seek the ‘conflict’ of ‘being something different and activist about it’, and thus enter the same trap as many young men, often becoming either engaged in direct violence or social violence in countless ways in order to secure the supremacy of their chosen (cult) belief.
Because of this ‘reaching for some firm belief’ - far too many of them fall into the error of becoming trapped in adolescent thinking, and do not move on to full adulthood, and end up deeply unhappy and dissatisfied once their ‘cult’ is found to be false.
Oh, sorry - at the end of the day? There are no ‘transgender children’."
