"Gas the Jews, Where's the Jews, F~ck the Jews". It's clear the police erred for the sake of the good over the true. What was the good? The preservation of public order by its contributing to the incident blowing over. The cowardly hypochrisy is stratospheric. Yours, the police's and especially the Muslims'. As I'm not taking a position in what I wrote, how is what I wrote hypocritical? I was commenting on what I believe is the police position. How, exactly, would the police determine who in the crowd had chanted the three lines? What would have happened had they attempted to identify some of the protesters whom they believe might have chanted the three lines such that they were arrested? As we all know by now, late Millennials and Zoomers tend to support Palestine, with older Australians tending to support Israel. What would the protests have looked like, or turned into, outside a courthouse? The Cronulla riots? Giving a free pass to the Hamas crowd on the day when the Jews mourned and commemorated the dead and the raped THAT the Hamas crowd celebrated - and then characterizing if as a 'good' is hypocritical. The 'good' refers to the maintaining of public order, which is the primary role of the police. It's clear the police commissioner determined that hunting down the offenders at the protest was not in the public interest given its potential for escalating the issue, potentially causing riots outside courthouses, by dubious arrests and trials. Bollocks on stilts. If hundreds of neo-nazis swarmed a Muslim commemoration of their dead and raped, chanting 'where's the Muzzies, ****the Muzzies, gas the Mussies', the police would not have been standing by, waiting for it to 'blow over', muttering about dubious arrest and trials. Neo Nazis do not split the country in half - the Israel-Palestine issue does. Few to no ordinary Australians would be protesting in support of a neo nazi cause. Thousands would potentially rally in support of Arab Australians in the event of arrests - particularly if the arrests were based on precarious evidence. Either it's wrong or it's not. The black shorts got on the train and cops stopped them pronto. When the Mohammedan horde gets going to swamp a Jewish commemoration - the police advise the Jews to stay away from their own commemoration, arrest the single Jew who doesn't, and stand by, watching the sons of Mohammed as they celebrate murder and rape and kidnapping. This was on 9 October. There had been NO Israeli military response. Mass murder and rape and kidnapping, degradation of Jewish corpses and Jew-hunting was celebrated in a carnival in Sydney and the police stood by. If 20 people went to the Opera House and burnt Palestinian flags and shouted ' where's the Palestinians, **** the Palestinians, gas the Palestinians', the police would not stand by and mutter about dubious arrests and trials. They would come down like a ton of bricks. The difference? Fear.
