The Psychology of Trumpism Explained...
Jan 29th, 2024 at 8:40pm

This is possibly one of the best articles I've read recently about
why the now-disgraced former president continues to enjoy political
and personal support from an element of the American public.

Many explanations are proposed for the continued rise of Trump,
and the steadfastness of his support, even as the outrages and
criminal charges pile up. Trump is king of the extrinsics.

People with a strong set of intrinsic values are inclined towards
empathy, intimacy and self-acceptance. They tend to be open to
challenge and change, interested in universal rights and equality,
and protective of other people and the living world.

People at the extrinsic end of the spectrum are more attracted to
prestige, status, image, fame, power and wealth
. They are strongly
motivated by the prospect of individual reward and praise. They are
more likely to objectify and exploit other people, to behave rudely and
aggressively and to dismiss social and environmental impacts. They
have little interest in cooperation or community. People with a strong
set of extrinsic values are more likely to suffer from frustration,
dissatisfaction, stress, anxiety, anger and compulsive behaviour.

To beat Trump, we need to know why Americans keep
voting for him. Psychologists may have the answer
.

The last para (above) sums up Trump to the letter.

Considering the Medical Industry knows SFA about orthodox Politics...
Considering the Brunette & Raven haired males know SFA about orthodox Politics unless its made into a Movie about Psychology.

Meh-nah. Blonde and Red haired males are better at Politics (and Art).

Well, they voted for him, but more people voted for Clinton and Biden.

In popular polls - among the general population - he's not popular.

He's only popular within his cult.

Thanks, that is good.
Many americans are extrinsics, for them to win is the only thing that matters.
Is this also displayed by very 'competitive' sportsmen and women?

remember that female skater who had the legs of her opponent broken?

There really is no common ground to discuss this, it is clear that we were better off before biden sat at the resolute desk for the first time. It has been downhill ever since! Among many things you will not understand is there is not a finite amount of wealth in the world and someone doesn't have to lose for someone else to get ahead in life. These are the kind of people that keep you down, Trump is the kind of person that wants you to succeed in life.

Dopey/Creepy Joe jogged on stage to prove to voters he was still young and vibrant.
Once he became President - the con was over, he couldn't even walk up stairs.

Thanks for paraphrasing Geoff's article to a tee, Mort.

You see? We really are on the same page after all.

No, dear, once he became prez, SJ fixed the depressed covid economy, rolled out infrastructure, returned manufacturing jobs to the US, lifted share prices, lowered unemployment, crime, fuel prices, drug prices and student debt, and in sum, outflanked your DL by nearly every measure possible.

In fact, in three short years, he's already surpassed every metric of the Trump administration in every measure there is. In numerical terms, there's no longer any doubt whatsoever. Sleepy Joe is the best man for the job - by far. The only con is those trying to talk it down, so I'm curious.

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

well said mort

you are on the money

trump also reveals a truth the leftie intellectual does not want to admit

that society flourishes when people understand that the truth is not the goal because everyone has a different truth
the truth is a poor leading indicator.
a gazans truth is not an israelis truth
a white welder from arkansas truth is not a black trans uni students truth at UCLA.

trump understands that you just leave people alone and let winning be the aim, not trying to make everyone comply to a set of fascist rules (which is now the view of the PC left),

winning is a better measure then truth because it can be measured in the marketplace.

the israelis can see if they are winning (by piling up hamas corpses)
the american auto manufacruors can see if they are winning (by building beautiful gas vehicles)

even germany just commissioned 10 large gas fired power plants , allowing us to say that in the climate change debate there are winners and losers (and the truth is malleable)

a country that doesnt get that (and biden certainly doesnt) is not a country.

its like a stag that refuses to fight (win) for the right to exist.

biden and his goons would have the american stag just stand there impotent and meek and timid whilst the parasites ate it down to the bone and it disappeared.

biden supporters are just naive

they really think 10 million illegals are coming to america to build the american dream for them
they dont understand that the illegals are about winning, not about the truth.(why they throw their documents away and make up a lie)

its why, in the end, trump probably wins in 2024.

peoples naivety is coming to an end as they wake up from the woke fantasy

walter , we know you get a little hit of dopamine by being nasty to randoms , because your boss makes you smile politely to the customers. i suppose your venting is serving a purpose for you, but do you think you could change jobs and maybe address your anger at a core level

Well, unless you're an ex-wife who "accidentally" falls down the stairs and ends up buried on a golf course or a best friend (who just so happens to be a convicted child sex offender) who "commits suicide" whilst under 24/7 surveillance by prison guards and cameras.

Oh? So how's DL leaving people alone? His trade wars with Europe and Chi-na added a good 5 to 10% to the price of various manufactured goods and steel. A number of farmers shut shop - and those who didn't had to be paid out.

DL's on record as overturning Roe vs Wade. He's packing shit for that one, tying himself in knots to explain why he refuses to leave women's bodies alone. Meanwhile the Democrat ads are racking up views in all the key states.

There's no woke fantasising going on, dear. Sleepy Joe's about the economy, stupid. The only culture wars going on are on Fox News, with Hannity and all the rest complaining about trannie toilets.
