What should be proposed is that the constitution be amended where we acknowledge that the indigenous lost control of Australia to the European settlers. We own Australia now. We have even been generous enough to invite indigenous people to become part of our nation.

Victors can be gracious in their victory. Indeed it pays them to do so, otherwise the Indigenous will have grounds for grievance.
