...Nobody is harmed by a Pride flag flown on a government building.
Don't like it? Don't look at it.
Based on this simplistic solution then, you'd agree
with the public display of the Nazi swastika flag?
Anyway...
I raised the flying of the so-called "transgender" flag
on government buildings as I consider its purpose
to be socially divisive—that is, promoting a "them
and us" mindset in the public.
As I've said elsewhere, I have no issues at all with
the LGBTQI+ members of our community, but it's
important that they don't overly impinge on the
equanimity of our majorly heteronormative society
(currently 96% in Australia).
According to percentages averaged across several
survey datasets, 3.6% of males and 3.4% of females
described themselves with a minority sexual identity
(gay, lesbian, bisexual, and other sexual minorities).

Tom Wilson, et al, BMC Research Notes, 16 November 2020.Already, the flying of the LGBTQI+ flag has caused
vexed, abusive, derogatory and divisive commentary
in our media and online social resources.
Hardly the way to encourage inclusion I would've thought?
