Ahhh .... I remember the guy now! He's a legend IMO!

Have a read 👇

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Lim_(activist)

Quote:
In 2015, Lim was fined $500 for offensive conduct after publicly wearing a sign which labelled the then Prime Minister of Australia Tony Abbott a '****'

I would have paid Danny $500 if I'd seen that in person.  Grin

(I love how the forum word censor changed my first attempt - which was just the first and last letter with asterisks in between - to "front bottom")  Grin

1. Apparently he now uses the word front bottom. And is allowed to lol!

2. "In 2008, Lim was elected to the Strathfield Council as the lead candidate for an independent ticket, which received 13% of the vote. Lim ran on the policy of "openness, transparency, accountability and morality" in the council, and refused to get paid for his time in office."

Clearly one to be ostracised as an enemy of the people..... but we don't live in a dictator state... nah .... one in which any dissident is crushed .... nah... not here.... (just try standing for federal election as an independent) ...

Lim's injuries were effectively self-inflicted, as he attempted to
exacerbate the negative implications of a police detainment for
public consumption.    But it backfired.

If he'd simply calmly walked out of the shopping centre without
remonstrating with police—who were only doing their job—and/or
physically resisting them, then he wouldn't have ended up in hospital.

As I said elsewhere, Lim is a serial pest, and at his age should be
more than aware of the possibility of a less than favourable end result
to his nonsensical stunts.

I'd guess he's showing signs of early onset dementia.

Lim has been labeled a serial pest by authorities. Yes he's a nutter but a very harmless one and he hardly impedes people going abut their daily. I see him all the time around around Edgecliff shops, he just stands around with nutter slogans.

So some cockswallow security guard (probably a mozzo) in the wanky QVB called the cops. Sure, move him on but in a proportional way for an old man.

My 5 year old could beat the crap out of that frail old man.

Surely the individual shopkeepers who pay big rents to these
shopping mall landlords deserve to carry out their businesses
unencumbered or disturbed by these sorts of serial nutjobs?

I know that many older people, like my parents, would probably
be a little fearful of this mouthy old bloke, and would most likely
keep well clear of him—and the nearby shops.

The security guards acted accordingly;  they didn't touch him, and
called the police.

Bloody hell, it's not hard to understand (obviously is for you)
The need for him to be moved on or arrested is not under question (although it's petty)
What's under question and will turn into a $100000 payout is the disproportional use of force.

The old codger just needs to go into a full time aged care facility ....the one furthest away from Monk (who is a genuine serial pest of the highest order).

Lim is dangerous to the community.

The police are there to protect our children, mothers, fathers and ourselves, we have to all respect their authority for it to work. If someone thinks that its better to disrespect and confront the police instead of letting the police do their job and arguing their case in court will lead to a break down in our legal system.

Fighting and arguing with the police is not how our system works. This is a publicity stunt and nothing more and it undermines what we teach our children about how to behave in public and how to interact with the authorities.
