Some things I like to make myself.

Greek yogurt
It's a bit hit and miss, I make it exactly the same way every time, sometimes it's perfect, sometimes it's too runny.

Ricotta cheese
Perfect every time. Was at the supermarket early this morning and they had a whole lot of the expensive cold pressed raw milk half price (1 day to expiry) so bought 3 of them and made the lot into ricotta, and it was fricking amazing!

Cucumber pickles/Pickled eggs
Cut up nice and chunky, into a jar with 50/50 ACV and water, and whatever herbs and spices you like.

I bought a yoghurt maker, haven’t used it yet.

Also bought a sauerkraut crock. Forgot I had a batch in there, threw the crock and the mould out. Will buy another, bigger crock once settled in my Tassie house.

Want to turn the laundry in the house into a walk in pantry and a still room. Jellies can filter through a jellybag into a receptacle undisturbed there, sauerkraut and yoghurt can form there, etc.

Will make cider and perry or course, preserve pears, peaches, cherries, raspberries, blueberries etc, crab apple pectin jelly with mint or chili in it, onion marmalades etc.

Dunno, I love preserving more than cooking. Maybe seeing all the jars of goodness? Unlike food gobbled down in minutes?

Rubbish. Cold pressing renders it safe.

I bought 4 of these this arvo for $2 each, they expire tomorrow so made the lot into ricotta.

Sauerkraut (uneven results so far but I will get there) and kimchi.

Dunno if I can grow these in Tassie—pickling cucumbers, lactic ferment into dill gherkins, oh yeah, fart food!
