So... a little hypothetical
You have two local candidates running for a political seat. One runs
a fish and chip shop, and the other is a triple-certificated university
graduate.
The former is transphobic, racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic,
anti-multicultural and anti-Asian, and a global warming denier.
The latter is none of those things, except of course being a Muslim.
So which one would you choose, and more importantly why?
Is the university graduate a muslim who believes Muhammad rode a flying donkey called Buraq?
Is the belief Muhammad rode a flying donkey a sign of intelligence or ignorance?
Can we criticise her belief that Muhammad rode a flying donkey or is that considered islamophobia?
Is the exact opposite of a Xenophobe someone who promiscuosly embraces foreign culture while rejecting their own home grown culture? is being the exact opposite of a Xenophobe something to be proud of?
In Islamic countries it's rare for muslim women to go to university to study something other than islamic studies, sounds like this Green senator has led a sheltered life.
Pauline has candidates from all races in One Nation does that sound like someone who is a racist?
For me i would vote for politicians with real life experience.
