Even 2 minutes of boiling can turn cauliflower into mush.
1 minute of steaming is best.

Did you see I said oven roasted? The initial 10 mins cooked the inside then the second cooking crisped the outside.

Looked nearly like this.

That looks yummy.  Smiley

Once you start roasting cauli, you'll never eat it any other way.
Even Coles frozen cauli turns out good when roasted.

No pics, but I also made some baked cauliflower.

I cut them into thick 'steaks' and lay them on a baking dish. Put them in a hot oven for about 10 mins, turned oven off then went out for about 3 hours.

Got home, drenched them in olive oil, sprinkle of garlic salt and zaatar seasoning and back in the oven for 15. The insides were almost liquid and the outside was crispy.

Served it with some caramelized onion I made yesterday.

Sounds like you overcooked the cauliflower.
I like it crispy.

The outside was crispy, the inside was melty....just how I like it.

Sounds very nice

Last night I had a chicken breast fillet and baked potato
with oyster mushrooms.
It wasn't photogenic as it was all too white -
so I didn't take a photo.

Here you go Bobby, roasted cauli again, while they're super big, fresh and cheap.

I reckon this came out of the oven 2mins too soon due to be being hassled to death by the 5 year old. Also on the side is some butter roasted Hawaiian sweet potato.

The protein was a nice piece of rump with some steamed broccoli on the side.

Dessert (for me) a pear, a banana with a few blue berries, almonds, walnuts, brazil nuts and greek yogurt (home made).

It's only 4:49pm, so it's a bit early for dinner.

However, it will be Scotch fillet with baby potatoes, oyster mushrooms, and Brussels sprouts.

I chop up the mushrooms, potatoes, and sprouts and make them a one-pot dish.

Mix in some vegetable stock, mustard, fennel, and salt & pepper.

Wash it down with a good NZ SB (yes, I'm having white wine with steak - get over it).

Pro tip. You get 2 'steaks' from the middle of a large cauli. The sides just break off into florets which are fine to roast, but don't have the same visuals.
