This steak tonight was delicious - marinated with pepper for many days.
Served with a dob of Dijon mustard
with sauerkraut and mixed veges.

What kind of steak?
I'd pass on the mustard but go the sauerkraut.
Are those mixed veges from the freezer?

Eye fillet steak.
The veges were frozen and just microwaved for 4 minutes - still crispy.
Maille Dijon original mustard is spectacular - bursting with flavor -
perfect with any meat or fish.

Dessert..

Greek yogurt, a sliced up packem pear.

You mean Packham pear, or, to be more precise, Packham’s Triumph pear.

I had such a nice dinner last night.
Eye fillet steak with Dijon mustard and Mediterranean salad.
The steak was seared each side at high temperature
and cooked slowly so it was still pink most of the way through.
It was so tender and juicy.

What's that brown bit on the right side of the plate Bobby?
It looks like a Harris Park turd.

That was bits of steak that fell off the side of the main piece.

Looks nice Sophia.

Last night I had to decide what to do with the other pork chop
left over in the packet.
I washed a potato and cut it up into pieces to make potato wedges.
I put them in the microwave for 4 minutes on high.
I then fried them in olive oil and a knob of butter along with the chop.
I added some stuffed olives and a pickled onion.
It was a very tasty small meal.

I am not eating it (only available in the UK).  It is a thing, but.

But I suspect you'd wolf if down with a bit of Dijon mustard and pork, Bobby, as they seems to be your culinary delights.  Tepid, wet veggies on the side, for roughage, of course.

I have a 1930s cookbook, you'd love it. But then again, you are already using one.
