Lismore
Sep 23rd, 2022 at 5:30am

Mr Saunders, Minister for Fish (NSW) has announced that Lismore will be sending raw prawns to China. The shopping district will be developed as prawn hatcheries with the Council and SES becoming wharves for the new prawn boats (replacing the French submarines). Prawns thrive in the charming surrounds of Lismore's laneways and mangroves, finding shelter in bungalows and commercial habitats.

That's not quite right. The bunyip lurks in swamps, billabongs, creeks, riverbeds, and waterholes.

Hey! You're not one to talk about Wallyworld, especially while under the influence of raptures of the deep..

It's true, they migrate from Casino for the water sports. Usually in the passenger side of white utes with black stickers, big aerials and bigger mudflaps with a spotlight or 12. The frequent high tides can impede their migration.

Councils are now alerting citizens with 'Report a Koala' on road signs.

Remember: alert but not alarmed.

But far out man...

We want the government that gives us back Mount Warning... nowhere for the moon dancers to leap about naked on a full moon with a bonfire now.

The government is pleased with progress at Lake Lismore. Floods are rising as planned with community support:

'Experts at Floodplain Management Australia (FMA) said the levee was not the cause of the devastating floods in Lismore late March. "This event was larger than a one in 10-year flood so the levee over topped, as it was planned to do. But with people not wanting their views of the river obstructed by a levee"..

From that other strand about handing national parks to the Cheeses...... it sounds like a serious change of government is in the offing..... now who would it be?

A woman survived a bear attack on Saturday after she punched the animal in the nose, an official said. The woman, who has not been named, was taking her dog out  when she was “charged by an adult female bear”.
The bear knocked the woman to the ground, Beausoleil said, and a struggle ensued. “If the bear knocks you down, then yes, your solution is to fight. It was just instinct for her. She just turned around and popped it right in the nose.”
