I still have my father's ashes sitting right next to me on the bookshelf.

I promised him I'd take them back to Europe (and I will), but I'm not travelling during the current COVID/Ukraine invasion period.

It's weird - I know the ashes aren't him, but I still say hello to them in the morning and goodnight to them when I go to bed.

I have absolutely no idea where my father or Lizzie are at the moment, but I'm certain the ashes on my bookshelf and the frail little body in the oak coffin aren't them.

I wondered how long this procession was… felt like days… and I thought how it must be a long way away… to find out it was something like 6 hours instead!
The country side looks so lush and green …
The little townships along the way … showing their respects…one with tractors all lined up both sides of road…. another with people on horses along the roadside in another town.

There weren't the methods of communication then as there are now ... privacy is near on a myth.

So the younger generation doesn't have a higher moral code ...

The next royals are very 'middleton' and common, almost republican. DNA proof will be needed to establish the true Stuart and Georgian (German) genetics.

Plantagenet - look at the features... Diana was a wrong side of blanket descendant of Charles II ...
