Muslim students at Monash University in Melbourne have prayed outside in
protest over inadequate prayer spaces. Fatima Ramtoola, vice president of
the Monash University Islamic Society said there is only enough room for
eight men and eight women to pray in the current space.
"It's way too small for the number of people who have to use it... every single
other university in Melbourne has adequate Muslim prayer space and we don't
understand why Monash University is not providing this for our Muslim students
on campus," she said.
I'm getting increasingly sick of the additional demands these Muslim migrants
are demanding across more sectors of our society, based solely on their religion.
They must have known—or should've known before they migrated—that Australia
is a secular country, with a strong separation of church and state, and religion
and education.
These peoples' refusal to largely assimilate within the Australian community is one
of the reasons they're despised by so many people here.
