The shock announcement that four Victorian senior ministers will resign at the next state election has resulted in a significant shake-up of the government's front bench and shed light on the future of Victorian Labor — including who will succeed Premier Daniel Andrews.

Yesterday, Deputy Premier and Education Minister James Merlino, Health Minister Martin Foley, Police Minister Lisa Neville and Sports Minister Martin Pakula announced they would serve on the backbench until they leave parliament in November.

Newspaper headline writers had a lot of fun when Victorian Opposition leader
Matthew Guy was caught in a seafood restaurant with mafia godfather Antonio
Madafferi and several other alleged crime figures.

"LOBSTER WITH A MOBSTER" was one they came up with...

That's alleged Melbourne Mafia boss Tony Madafferi on the left. Guy maintains
he did not know(!) he would be dining with Mr Madafferi at the meal hosted by
Liberal Party member and AUSVEG executive Frank Lamattina at the Lobster Cave
in Melbourne suburban Beaumaris in April 2017.

Liberal Barrie Macmillan resigned from Dunkley and Hastings branch positions
shortly after being caught on tape conspiring to funnel undisclosed donations
from Madafferi and three relatives into Liberal party coffers after the dinner.

Should Mathew Guy have been forced to quit, considering his apparent
association with known crime bosses?

Would Victorians want him as their Premier in November? I wouldn't. Sad

Dan is toxic, everyone in Australia knows it apart from a few die hards in inner city Melbourne, they brought in the gallows at one stage, Dan and his fence of steel Dan and his longest lockdowns Dan smashing peoples heads into the ground Dan, Dan sacking 300,000 workers overnight Dan FFS he was signed up to the BRI. When Dan got pushed down the stairs many were hoping for a slow recovery.
