I haven't read this book, but checked out the 166 reviews on the 'Goodreads' site.

I'm thinking his book was a product of its time—"reds under the bed" and all that
bullshit. American-Russian tensions were escalating the Cold War, and it suited
numerous US commentators to build their careers off this—just as W. Cleon Skousen
did.

I reckon he can safely be written off as nothing more than a conspiracy theorist à la Alex Jones.

And even downunder...

The Australian referendum of 1951 sought to give the Commonwealth
powers to make laws in respect of communists and communism.

Americans generally do not know what Communism actually is. Mort your 45 goals are pointless and actually suit most rabid conspiracies. The Birch Society were/are weirdos. Hollywood used to manufacture conspiracies like this for profit. They make good viewing but in reality are easily blown completely out of proportion. American is more likely to fall to a right-wing conspiracy such a Trump... Roll Eyes

I was reading an excellent book by a young woman raised in the Birch Society. They are indeed weirdos

Been that way a while. In the 90s Bill Clinton pardoned Susan Rosenberg who was convicted and imprisoned for bombing the Capitol Hill building in the 80s.

And she was recently on the board of BLM.
