As I commented elsewhere on this forum:

"Any Federal ICAC with teeth would see at least half of the criminals
we currently have in the LNP government sitting in prison cells for a
very long time.

And please don't bother introducing strawmen like Obeid et al.

The very fact that Labor supports an independent ICAC tells anyone
who's not a mono-neural two things: 1/ That Labor is confident that
an ICAC would not find Labor to be corrupt, and/or 2/ That Labor is
quite happy to have any corruption which may be found in their ranks
exposed and punished".

Or (3) Labor knows the Coalition has acted corruptly and wants to introduce an anti-corruption commission to investigate this corruption.

I think it's all three.

So do I - but I assumed that we could take '3' as read.

Certainly a lack of accountability has crept into politics,  its all marketing for lobbyist rather than leadership.

This is one reason why we need to remove this government at the ballot box at the next election. Only after this corrupt and sorry lot are gone from the government benches can the Parliament start cleaning up the Coalition's corruption.

not just remove this lot, but make sure we keep out any of the lifers. The longer they are in there, the more they'll start to feel entitled and above reproach. Any politi serving more than 10 yrs isn't interested in serving the public, they're only interested in lining their pockets.
