Beleaguered WA Liberals urged to embrace 'rock bottom', as party cracks down on powerbrokers

Senior federal Liberal figures have urged the beleaguered WA party to embrace "rock bottom" and fight for a return of the Morrison government at next year's federal poll.

The WA Liberal Party conference is being held in Perth this weekend – its first since the disastrous election defeat in March.

It also comes two months after a scathing internal review of the election found WA Liberal members and MPs were guilty of "unethical and underhand" conduct.
