Scoot was right, but only on paper.
And barely even on paper...
I also used to watch Joe Rogan when he used to interview people of intellectual integrity (e.g. Brian Cox, Jordan Peterson, Paul Stamets, even Richard Dawkins)... Now, not so much.
Rogan went as far as he could with his anti-vax stand... Any further and he would have been deplatformed. He danced around the whole topic, and referred to the ivermectin scam as an alternative (even if he was set on that path by Brett Weinstein).
He spruiked all kinds of spurious non-vaccine prophylactics (e.g. massive vitamin injections - mainly C and D, prednisone, &etc) including hydroxychloroquine and interviewed other spruikers of these 'alternative' medicines, all the while making it abundantly clear that he didn't 'trust the science' of vaccines, believing, instead, a conga line of quacks.
He has done everything he can, to develop the subtext that he is an ant-vaxxer, and now he's in the situation he's in. His comedian friend Bill Maher caught COVID after being vaccinated and went through it with no symptoms.
Rogan was also once an alien-landing conspiracy theorist which, by his own admission, took him years to get over.
