I told this before:

I saw someone at work sneeze all over
freshly washed dishes that had just come out of the dish washer.
People are filthy scum.

Oh, yes.

I've seen men coming out of cubicles after taking a 'dump' (and many usually don't bother flushing) or they've finished peeing at the urinal in shopping centre toilets and they walk straight out without even washing their hands.

I have done this. I know where my dick has been, but not whose hands were last on that tap.

Because your dick is sterile lol...

But he's right -
if you've just had a shower and have fresh underwear
your dick will be a lot cleaner than any public toilet tap.

For that small timeframe because your normal bodily functions take over, sure.  But unless you've just had a showing the public toilet, the time it takes to get there is enough for the normal bacteria on the body to replicate enough that after you've aimed your fire hose, assuming there was no friendly fire, your hands are no longer clean.

Public toilet, especially the gents, do need a rethink.

Having two lots of doors you have to open to get out, that pull in so you have to grab the handle, you might as well have been touching everyone else penis in there given how many people don't wash their hands.

I don't like all the waste that comes along with it, but paper towels should be universal so one can at least use them to turn taps on/off and exit the bathroom without having to touch the doors with your bare hands.

It's another of those "mask" moments.  Sure, one could be selfish and not wash their hands but doing so is what helps everyone else, just as much, if not more, than yourself.

Which I suppose is why so many don't bother.

"It's only my dick, I know where it's been"...

Sure bro.

now, lets not forget, in a bad flu season, about 2000 elderly and frail people die (about 12 a day for a winter season).

and we dont have daily press conferences.
we dont have qr codes
we dont have people signing in
we dont have lots of testing.

so if covid kills a dozen a day, its totally ignorable (its been ignored for the last decade).

And the reason why it has been ignored for so long is due to apathy and everyone being told and believing "Oh, its the flu. We get that every year. Can't do anything about it. Sorry".

Which suited governments, big business and airlines, etc. perfectly because they didn't have to do anything about it which might have (heaven forbid) cost them money and eaten into the obscene amounts of money they make.

But now COVID-19 and all the travel restrictions and quarantine, etc. that have happened as a result of it has proved that something can be done (and should have been done) about the spread of the flu worldwide every year with the hundreds of thousands of deaths that it causes and hopefully the general population won't go back into their usual slumber and forget about all this once the Covid pandemic is over and demand that more be done to prevent the worldwide spread of the flu from now on.

incorrect.

yes, you could stop influenza deaths by going back to the days of captain cook and stopping all international travel.

but at an
enormous
price.

and the flu kills a tiny tiny tiny number of people in comparison to the fat and sugar in our diets.

It's taken years of practice, but I can piss without even touching my dick or pissing all over myself, but I still wash my hand for no other reason than public toilets can be nasty places and just don't feel right if I haven't washed my hands.

If they're sensor taps or push button taps, all good. If they're old school taps I'll splash water over the tap first then wash my hands.

If it's an old school door you have to touch with your hands, I'll grab a bit of hand paper and if there is none, I'll find somewhere to wash my hands outside.

NSW records 265 COVID-19 cases and
five more deaths

...

New South Wales recorded 265 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday.

Five people with COVID-19 died.

There were 60,273 tests undertaken in the latest reporting period.

To date 92 per cent of people over the age of 16 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 80.3 per cent are fully protected.

Further restrictions have been lifted for people who are fully vaccinated, after the state hit the 80 per cent double-vaccination target on Saturday.

From today, 20 visitors will be allowed in homes and groups of 50 can gather outside.

Masks are no longer mandatory in offices or outdoor settings, unless you are a front-of-house hospitality worker.

Patrons can now drink while standing and dancing is back for everywhere except for nightclubs.

The staggered return to school also started today, with students in kindergarten, year 1 and year 12 all back in classrooms.

There are 606 COVID-19 patients in hospital, with 132 people receiving care in intensive care units.

More to come.

I think we’ll be alright now.
NSW only had only 265 cases today.
That means that when you have high vaccination rates the cases go down.
The reproduction rate of the virus is less than one.
That should cause it to mostly die out.
What could be a problem is next year when new variants hit us as
international travelers bring it into Australia.
We have to hope that the vaccine manufacturers are gearing up for
a much better vaccine to cover all new variants by then?
So – we’ll need another vax shot next year.

Possibly, but the streets have been deserted and there's been a lot of on-line shopping and click & collect

Fines are a real deterrent also, and it seems likely that enthusiasm grew to abide by the rules, it just took time

Vaccination hasn't stopped the Government from preventing city slickers from entering Rural NSW, we always wanted that, and we got it, keep 'em out, vaccinated or not

That's right, but they've been going down since the 23rd Sep, nearly a month ago before the high double vaxxed figures, at that time, it was just single vaxxed

Or, you could be a North Bondi kettle-bell swinging arsehole and push old ladies out of the way and get a booster before everyone in NSW has even had their first jab.

pfizer only made 16 billion profit this year.

they need to keep that lovely cash flowing or the bosses cant afford their mistresses and yachts.

i'm predicting pfizer will fund a study showing that everyone needs a booster jab.

if they are smart they will make sure its piss weak so it only lasts 6 months.

Do I detect just the slightest bit of envy there?

Especially as its about the 500th time you've brought that up in the past 6 months or so.
