But, don't worry... the numbers will soon be down to zero (well, the official numbers anyway) since Scotty from Marketing wants to stop concentrating on Covid case numbers and focus on vaccination numbers instead.

NSW has recorded its worst day of the COVID-19 pandemic with 830 new cases,
three deaths and more than 900 people fined for breaching health orders.
Key points:

NSW administered 45,000 vaccines in the last 24 hours
The high rate means the state is only weeks away from more normality, the Health Minister said
Residents of Orange are urged to come forward for testing, with four new cases there

The number of new cases is a record for a 24-hour period in Australia, beating yesterday’s total of 825 infections.

However, Health Minister Brad Hazzard said he was confident "life will look pretty good by October, November" if the state's vaccination rates continued to be high.

Mr Hazzard said the state had seen "extraordinary" levels of vaccinations, bringing it up to be one of the highest levels of inoculation rates in the world.

"I am pleased, very pleased, but a vaccination rate in New South Wales is now quite extraordinary," he said.

Just Skyped relative in Florida, USA, who is a nurse. 150,000 cases last week. Hospitals overflowing, ambulances held at Emergency for hours. The hospital system is private enterprise and they have cancelled elective surgery. That's where they make their $$$$$$. Still the Governor attacks the use of masks in public. Cruise Ship companies sued him and won, over his banning them for requiring vaccination.

Then you've got our freedom weenies protesting in Melb, Syd, and Brizz. They are like spoilt children. "I wanna go out and play . . . bwaaaah!!!"

One AZ jab, second one next month.

Hope to get a Phizer Delta vacc early next year.

I wear a mask in public, I sanitise my hands, I register using the QR codes at venues and would avoid crowds (I tend to do that anyway.) Bit more care buying food, bit more fruit and veg in the diet.

I don’t spread panic or bullshit like some here.
