Just saw it myself.

Scary stuff, that's for sure.

Even scarier is that they're still bringing infected people in from overseas and (presumably) still quarantining them in the not fit for purpose city hotels.

One new case was acquired overseas in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

Unbelievable.

NSW recorded 239 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday.

It's the highest daily number of new infections ever recorded in NSW since the pandemic began.

Nearly 111,000 tests were completed in the reporting period.

More to come.

Pretty much, yeah.

She took way too long to act.

Anyway, once the weather warms up it will miraculously disappear.

Sydney-siders need to just keep drinking their bleach and stop punching horses, and everything will be okay.

Nonsense. Certain horse-bashing members here are to blame for this, Bobby. Thoroughly irresponsible.

We know who they are.

Gladys is still making excuses.

She said a few minutes ago that with the benefit of hindsight maybe things should have been done differently, but there was no rule book to tell her what to do.

Bullshit.

All she had to do was look at WA and every other place that uses early, harsh lock-downs to see that it works.

She knew what to do, but refused to do it - these high numbers are her fault.
