That's what judges do, dear - play favourites. They say things like, oh, this one was driving an unregistered car to take his sick aunt for dialysis, or this one was drinking to mourn her death, or that one got done for swearing at the cop who locked up the first one, then resisted arrest, then went to assault a police officer, and on and on it goes.

One law for all, innit.

Technicality innocent awaiting trial is not the same as innocent..... Aborigine bloke I knew died in custody of a heart attack - another Wharte bloke I knew said - "He died an innocent man". Which is true... but his chances of escaping conviction for drug dealing and acts of violence - he was a sort of Godfather in Moree - were remote.

Yes - he was a good bloke in many ways... he had his faults.... we all do, but when it comes to drugs and violence, we were on two opposite sides. Just curled up his toes one day on a bench in the 'yard'.... went to sleep. He told me many times his heart hurt since he had lost three wives who died. Maybe there was something in it... the mind and feelings influence the body...
