Did you consider that the Olympics could help motivate people to get into fitness? I watch running videos of the 5000 metre track. I like to see how well the competitors improve over short periods of time inside a year. So far, my best 4km time is 20 minutes. I obviously want to get down to 15 minutes for the distance.

Nothing wrong at all seeing other people's hard work pay off on the international stage. That helps inspire the rest of us to get off our arses and do something for our health. The real kicker is when we see the Paralympians go about doing faster times and show more athleticism than most of us.
