I drove my elderly neighbour up to the medical centre for his 2nd jab today.
They were taking walking-ins and as it was early so the joint was empty. I told the receptionist I've had 2x Fizzer and was thinking of getting Astro, she said go for it.

Quick consult with the Doc, now I'm 2xFizzer and one Astro.

The dirty Indian variant won't touch me. YUCK!!!

Pfizer are updating their vax as we speak.
By February next year we'll be able to get a Pfizer
2022 booster that will protect us from Delta
and also a newer variant.

For the rest of the time I was with her, there was no chance she'd ever go to another dentist again.

I got my first injection of AstraZeneca on the 2nd of July 2021.
That was after more than 100 hours of research.
It was the least likely to cause trouble as it's
not an untested mRNA vax.
I decided to see what happens to other people who get mRNA vaxes.
mRNA is so new and was invented for treating cancer not the common cold or Covid-19.
Also I had to weigh up the risk between a vax or getting an AZ shot.
Covid is 50,000 times more likely to give me blood clots compared to the AZ vax.
So far I've been fine.

In Victoria (and the rest of Australia too, I believe)
it's been renamed the

NSW variant

- after its explosive debut in this country

... and a lot of "too late, too little"
action in combating it - allowing the NSW strain to jump state borders

I wonder which state or territory
