What part of "If you were a paki" do you find impossible to understand?

But that very likely won’t stop Dark Emu from becoming an even more potent brand – in the literary world and elsewhere.

Author Pascoe has now collaborated with a brewing company to create a beer called Dark Emu Dark Lager.

Some Aboriginal activists are as unimpressed with this as were Sutton and Walshe over Pascoe’s questionable scholarship.

“A book is one thing but telling the sacred story of our creator on the can of grog is another,” Indigenous dancer and language consultant Warren Ngarrae Foster said.

“Shame on you, Bruce”.

There may be another area of concern. Young Dark Emu is the widely-available children’s version of Pascoe’s book – and it now shares its name with an alcoholic beverage.

This is not a good look.
