Even Democracy and Islam specialist Brian Ross agrees that in a democracy, any group can win government and become the dominate group (He said in a post from the past)

Not all Muslims are Islamists, despite what you might believe.
Most Muslims are peaceful, moderate and law-abiding individuals.

Yes that might be the one, it looks like it, if my memory serves me correctly
The logic of his post reads, that if Western culture and values declined in Australia due to the growing influence of Eastern Islamic culture, to such an extent where muslims and Islam became the dominate force in Parliament, then the Monarch would have to accept that Sharia Law will gain a foothold in Australia - in the fullness of time, God willing, the muslims would say
The key words in his post are: "
to work to change Australia and it's society to better reflect what they desire it to be"
So how would muslims like Australia's society to be? - that is the question
Using Brian's logic again (he's left the logic wide open), muslims in Parliament can bring in legislation, but only if it procured the support of the voters, otherwise they'd be voted out. Brian believes strongly in the democratic vote, and therefore he must also believe that the voters should have the last say, not the muslims
Now given that there's lots of different religions and political viewpoints in Australia, muslim MPs really would have a very difficult time bringing in Sharia Law, which is what they abide by in their homes, mosques and out doors when they're in groups
What muslim MPs would be able to do in a multicultural society and democracy would be extremely limited. Ed Husic would know by now what's possible and what's not possible for muslim MPs in a Constitutional Monarchy type parliament. For a start, no religion can be brought into the legislating procedure, nor can religion be allowed to interfere with the State. So that just leaves Sharia Law, and that's what muslim MPs would work on - If we let them. Who would vote for Sharia Law?, lots of muslims I should imagine, but probably very few other voters. However, as muslim numbers grow, the more the support for Sharia Law grows
