Footings/stumps should too deep for a minor change to topsoil to make much difference.

The house needs to lean about 2 degrees northward for the front door to close properly. I told Mum and Dad about this discovery. They are going to get someone to do a quote about restumping.

It is the whole reason why the 'landlords' have held off getting a quote. In the meantime, I think I might put the support posts out the back in an area that might be leaning the house south.

Good rainfall as of late. I do not believe the 30mm of rainfall that the BOM posted as our official figures. Probably more like 60mm. The gypsum is soaked into the lawn. On Tuesday next week, I will be putting the potting mix over the lawn. Then I will put the grass seeds down a few days later, when the potting mix is settled.

Chances are, if I move the two support posts over to the other side of under the house, I could probably resolve my front door problem very cheaply. Then Mum and Dad can take their time with getting the restumping done.

I picked the right time to lay down the potting mix and fertiliser for the front lawn. On Sunday, the plan is to put the rest of the potting mix down and get the remainder of the fertiliser to spread thinly over the backyard. The compost bin has gone under the tree out in the front yard. I can imagine after a few mows of the lawn, this yard will look like someone is looking after the place.
