An 11,12 and 13 year old sleeping in a bin and the parents weren't looking for them?
I guess they don't have life360 on their phone.

Aboriginal boy, 13, dies after bin he was sleeping in emptied into garbage truck in South Australia

There is more to this than is being said.

Why would three kids sleep in a bin if they had somewhere else to sleep?

Was there trouble at home?
Were they left to their own devices because the child protection agency were useless or being told to back off (can't have another stolen generation)?

More to be told.

Youth homelessness is primarily from highly dysfunctional 'homes', and often the result of abuse of all kinds and neglect.  This comes from a GP at the local hospital - who knows full well which group predominates in admissions and ER treatment for home injuries... and who knows a lot about sexual abuse of adolescents, and the way many are driven to homelessness and 'couch surfing'.

You may draw your own conclusions......

Jesus - three kids sleeping in a bin....  FFS - being 'stolen' would be better for them.

so cruel an  Industrial bin  omg  what sort of place is Pt Lincoln.... society has to accept responsibilty for children having to sleep in bins...... young homeless  children  are open to god only knows what, parents are not always the best thing for these kids....this country should be appalled by this.

Aboriginal.....say no more.

Removed from their "useless parents" and placed in foster homes.

The aboriginal community, as a collective, need desperately to get their bums in gear and stop playing the victims all the damn time.
Have some self respect, stark working for a change
Get over this parasitical existence and do something other than beg for everything.

Until they get some self respect, this sort of thing will never stop.

The parents should be jailed for life.

Well - where were they?  Dad in prison and Mum in rehab... probably the most reliable scenario.

The family that were upset were cousins and one auntie..... all Aboriginal women, BTW ... and you know I'm no feminist ...  not a peep from the parents....

Slept so soundly that they did not hear the approaching garbage truck? Were they on painkillers at the time?

Why do some people bring children into the world?
They obviously don't give a stuff about them.

Sadly - like me as a child - worn out from not sleeping at night due to having a single thin blanket, cold from no shoes or warm clothing etc.... when sleep arrives it is a blessing.... you either cooked in the hot weather and couldn't sleep or froze in the frosty winter with one blanket ... and then went to school as one of the reigning genii at top 2% of IQs and couldn't even stay awake.

You had to be there... I graduated high school in the A class at 15, and then had to make my way on my own at $4.20 a fortnight until I found the Army, who gave me shoes, blankets, and $10 a week plus extra for specialty and then extra for combat pay.

You seriously had to be there....
