Au contraire monsieur. It was a notable event that shows that not everyone is an Islamophobe. Khan was elected by Londoners to be their mayor. This is something Islamophobes spit chips at. Multiculturalism was a feature of London even in Shakespeare's time when having been born anywhere in Britain more than 100 miles from London could be considered foreign in accent, language and culture. It's why Shakespeare's blank verse tends to rhyme when spoken in the mixed accents of Shakespeare's times. Listen to Ben Crystal's recitation of Shakespeare in its original pronunciation.

And never mind multiculturalism of Londinium in Roman times.
