About 8pm on Wednesday, April 14, MacGill was allegedly confronted by a 46-year-old man near the intersection of Parraween and Winnie streets at Cremorne

A short time later the pair were approached by two other men and MacGill, 50, was forced into a vehicle.

MacGill was then driven to a property at Bringelly, where three men allegedly assaulted him and threatened him with a firearm.

I'm guessing he's gotten himself in debt with some drug dealers (financial backers), or has had a run in with them of some kind and they decided to give him a scare (restaurants are well known for drug distribution/money laundering).

The press say one minute the girlfriend is restaurant(Aristotles) owner Maria O'Meagher ..... next she's sold the restaurant.

Then they say she is his ex- partner.

Seems no one can get a story straight.

Anyways it would seem Miss O'Meagher is Greek going by her brothers name....

Richard Schaaf, 29, and his brother Frederick Schaaf, 27, were among four men arrested over the snatching of the former Test bowler from a street in Cremorne on Sydney’s north shore on April 14. Police sources told The Courier-Mail that Richard Schaaf was known to be a Comanchero bikie gang associate.

The other day, I was wondering about how the hell I did not know about MacGil getting kidnapped or why it did not make the news. I figured that MacGil might still be out there if the media is only breaking the story. Then I read that it was the 14th of April when this all happened. Why was there no story about this when MacGil went missing? Was he released quickly? Or was it an ongoing investigation that police had to keep quiet before releasing to the media?
