If the Liberal party MPs think Laming quitting is going to save them at the next election, they are mistaken. It won't. The Liberals are so toxic right now that nothing they do now will save them. They will be thrown out at the next election, and they will have plenty of time to do some introspection while serving a few terms in Opposition.

How bad could it get for the Liberals? A federal repeat of the recent WA election, perhaps?
