They put him in jail:

He says to the cop - at 5:36
you're getting a bit butt hurt aren't you -
I can see you're starting to breathe a bit heavy -
you're getting cranky - you need to stay calm mate -
stay calm everything is going to be fine.

This man is evidently a 'Gordonite' smartarse who deliberately provoked the police and found out they don't like smartarses.

The police gave him the opportunity to comply but he declined.

In this case, the police were 100% correct and were much more cordial than US police who would have had the perpetrator on the ground and in handcuffs at his first utterances.
