I just read it to the hubby as we are out for dinner and it made him laugh.

Yes after nearly 45 years of marriage we have conversations of what’s on the web or Netflix

He does the old fashioned reading newspaper and I read the iPhone.

But....45 years ago there were no mobile phones ... but now... why not... and I share interesting info... helps as conversation starters.

Tell you something funny happened tonight.... at the entry of Kilsyth Club...you have to do a phone check in .... I told hubby to take out his old flip phone and said will this do?
And everyone laughed... because of that old flip phone!
One gent commented at least it shows it still works and lasts.

Hubby’s old 12 year flip still going okay....My last iPhone was under 2 years old... stuck on apple logo... won’t start up.... appt with Apple.... to find out it’s a fault within phone and I lose all data. Can’t recover it, they send me a new iPhone in place.

I don’t trust it anymore .... good to have old technology on hand... Cool

My neighbour (rich) still uses an old nokia. K.I.S.S.
Phones are for phonecalls. Not 'everything' else.

Btw - those old Nokia's were so good. I once was asked while snorkling around Wollongong Harbour by some lads if I could find their phone that they dropped into the water last night?
I looked, but surfaced to ask for his mate to ring his number.
The phone lit up in the dark shadows of kelp near the wall and I threw it up to them. We were all surprised it was still good as and working. Not as 'fragile' as today's phones.
