Royal Commissions
Dec 4th, 2020 at 8:58am

Seems everything needs a Royal Commission now.
This time it is in regards to Military Suicide.
Not attacking the 'causes' for Commissions.
Just commentating on how now Royal Commissions are asked for everything.

I see a system overload waiting to happen here.
I see the Royal Commission concept going under here.

Twenty years of conservative government means there's a lot going on that is in need of a thorough investigation. It's not for no reason that the Coalition parties are the only parliamentary parties opposed to a strong federal anti-corruption commission.

This government has been in office when thousands of people have died as a result of their malfeasance or neglect. Why shouldn't the systematic deaths of thousands of people be investigated?
* Veteran suicides
* Robodebt suicides
* Indue card suicides
* Refugee suicides
Why should these not be investigated?

If there's a possibility of "system overload", that's not an excuse to avoid investigations. That's a sign of a government that has blood on its hands.

I'm not saying there is no justification for Royal Commissions.
I'm just asking if there is an 'over-load' that the Royal Commissions can't cope with considering the rise in calls for Royal Commissions.

Seems a lot of Royal Commissions into greedy over-achievers.
Does Australia have an over-achiever crises? Like selling ourselves out like slaves to China?
