Maybe we could have limited this (now four page) thread to the original question and a response, had the subject of the original question simply replied..."No".

I know, I know...

Accepting reality is not such a bad thing unless it's a voice in your head telling you to cut off random people's heads for some future personal gains...

I think it was Auggie and I, who were banned directly by FD once. Auggie put up a picture of Supreme Leader Snook as FD. I joined in for the laugh. FD flung us both, by using the 'cyber' Force, into banishment. Poof - we were gone.

That is when I learned that FD and this Forum were 'One'.
*Ommmmm

I bent the knee and now serve in heaven, rather than reign in hell.
I even make FD a good coffee and he lets me sit in his leather chair.
Beats joining the Union like Smith.

Very slippery of you Gandalf. How about we start with what I am "actually" claiming?

good point FD.

I am a lefty. All of those positions are well founded in traditional left wing principles.

Every single one of those positions you talk about are in fact right wing/conservative articles of faith.

Like I said, you redefine the left beyond all meaning.

Is criticising a movement for increasing inequality a right wing article of faith?

No.

But pretending unions increase inequality because some baseless and thoroughly debunked Milton Freedman brain fart says so is certainly part of the propaganda war against unions that the right (and you) are so united behind.

And more broadly, incoherent culture-war hand waving that directly flys in the face of clear scientific evidence seems to be a right wing specialty. Though like I said, I do give you credit for bucking this trend in relation to climate change.

I provided a coherent economic mechanism for this to happen. Your ignorance of economics is not an argument Gandalf. Your inability to figure out whether an economist is contradicting Friedman is not an argument either.

By that, of course, you mean you cited a baseless brain fart from Milton Friedman, declared it as gospel truth, and flatly refused to either explain it more fully, or substantiate it in any way - and spent the rest of the "discussion" screaming "liar" to anyone who disagreed with you and tapdancing away from any attempts to get you to address the actual topic.

Much the same as what most fanatics of right wing dogma do.

Here's an easy one for FD

Yesterday he accused me of saying something i didn't ... when asked for evidence I said it, he put up a series of quotes, none of which were attributed to me'

And yet he still won't admit he is wrong Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

FD is never wrong. You on the other hand are always wrong, like your posse from Monkey Mania.

Someone has to be always right and FD looks likely the choice.
Ultimate and absolute Power.  Grin

I've been banned by FD. Do you see me cry a keg over it. I find it funny to be honest.
