Will having the aircon on inside the house make it cooler outside?

The external sensors tell me it's 39.7 reg outside.

Inside it's a comfortable 23.5 reg.

Last night I ran the air con at 23 reg all night, slept like a baby.

Looks like we may have a sleepover tonight.
Our neighbour with a new born has no air conditioning.
We have invited them over to get a good night rest after a really crappy day for them.

Do you have a conversion chart which converts:

reg. to Fahrenheit?

reg. to celsius?

It would be handy to know, just in case we're in a position to afford this new-fangled "air-conditioning" at some point down the track...

Not here in Perth it isn't.

16 degrees at the moment (nearly 7pm) and the forecast for today was 20 with clearing showers and I suspect it struggled to make it to 20.

While I was out and about earlier I commented to several people that I never expected to have to wear a jumper and carry an umbrella on the last day of November.  Shocked

We may be moving there soon-ish. Maybe we should look for a house without a pool...(30 or so here in Coastal QLD today, BTW).

And the Elite of Europe fled its troubles to find a New World awaiting them in the West. While Europe kicked its poor troubles out down under to the hot hells of terra australis. The Elite Namericans fell from Grace in the World and the Australians rose from their  Ashes to take their place in the World.

Just sayin Wink

I used the airconditioning for the first time this year last night. I would close the front door, the windows, and cover the hallway access with my large Australian and Eureka flags pinned over it. 4 hours of the airconditioning blowing and all I get out of it is slight comfort compared to not using it and having the fan slowly spin above me. Having retired to the bed, I could only get comfort from my bedroom ceiling fan at top speed. No amount of windows wide open would be enough to get a cool breeze to sleep.

I hate summer. The ceiling fans in the heat always take me back in a cold sweat to Vietnam. Even now, I can hear the gunfire. Karnal? Karnal - are you there? Undecided

The type of soap that I like to use during hot weather is Pears. I don't know what ingredients there are in them. But, I feel really refreshed after a shower using that bar of soap.

Not a pretty sight. But I'm sure the female members like how you're using Pears.

I was worried that the bar of soap would smell as effeminate as the coconut soap I had previously used. But, I used Pears over the last 2 summers and have not had a problem with profuse sweating or feeling hot. Alternatively, I have body wash I could use. But I might as well dehydrate myself with all the heat stress that skin-drying wash gives.
