I went and got some bread, the bird waited till I returned, but they don't eat bread and I had no seeds, so the bird left at that point after I tried to pat it again

My mate the King Parrot paid another visit this morning, real early at 7am when I had to attend to an Ebay auction, he must have sensed it somehow because I hardly ever get up that early ... also a good luck charm, I managed to win the bidding war ... that was after I went out to say hello and he came up close again, I was able to briefly pat him this time. Next time I'll have some food ready for him and told him so but I think he's losing patience with me, I thought they only eat seeds but I went on the Net and found out they eat fruit, veges and nuts. I always have some of those in my fridge so I'll have a bowl of tucker he can get stuck into next time

Possibly, I can get real close but he just backs away a bit if I try to pat him. What gets me is the way he circles around before landing and walks up to me, and then he'll wait there till I go inside and get some seeds, he knows

Damn, he turned up again yesterday, he's been AWOL since Dec last year, and you won't believe it, he got himself a girlfriend, how about that? She's a bit shy, she kept her distance for a while before finally joining her boyfriend eating sunflower seeds I spread out on the outdoor table, Walt Disney couldn't have written a better script. I grabbed the camera and took photos plus a short movie

Females are green, males are red, so it's easy to tell which is which.

I think he only came back to show his new girlfriend off, they didn't eat much nor hang around very long
