I've put good money on Penrith to flog Melbourne.
I've put less on my team Geelong to beat Richmond.
Penrith should make me more than my Geelong loss.
When Penrith wins a grand final they do it in a big way.
You can tell Penrith will win a GF when they do their year in a big way. Last time is was the official 'Fairy Tale' of coming up from 'dead last' to win a GF. This time they had a record 17 straight wins.
Also, Penrith (Western Sydney) will do to the Melbournians in NRL what the Rich boys of Richmond did to the poor 'westies' of Western Sydney last year in the AFL.
Geelong have played well in the last 10 years, always 'up there' and with 3 GF's to their name. Richmond has also done well to get there, but from a less consistent appearance in the Top 5 throughout the decade.
But Richmond are the more 'consistent' and winning side in the last few years. So unless Geelong are going to have another run of a few GF's - I don't think they'll win...
...unless they do to Dusty what the French and South Africans did to Jonah Lomu.
Void him from the game.
I don't think the Terry Lamb tactic of knocking out Ellery Hanley is the right way to go about it though.
But hey, if they drop Dusty out of the game on a stretcher. Besides a guy getting red-carded, they might actually guarrantee the win?
Abblet is in no class to Dusty, despite his more 'experience'.
He isn't a big game player or game changer and he's OLD.
He'll gas out quick. In fact, if I was coach of Geelong. I would put the test to Abblet to stay on Dusty as a 'Spoiler' (Don't worry about scoring, just stop Dusty from doing 'anything'). That'll force Abblet to prove that he's not a 'Daddy's Boy' afterall.
Penrith 56
Melbourne 10
Richmond 79
Geelong 70
