The point is - these are the EXTREME cases, where protection of children is practically non-existent anyway - they do NOT apply to the majority of the CIVILISED world, such as most in the West are - but we all know the UN will pander to the idea that by pointing out clearly those nations where this does occur - and let us never forget the AIDS epidemic in Africa - they will be 'discriminating' and making some 'statement' about the 'superiority' of some cultures over others....

(well.... some ARE superior, aren't they - or were until the scum started to sexualise young girls particularly for their own gratification in one or more ways and make 'everyone equal' across the globe - so now you can be 'equal' with the gun-toting, khatt-stoned child rapist/murderer 6'3" and 15 stone who 'has sex' with an eight year old or anyone else, man or woman, when he wants to) .....

Utter garbage, of course, but that is how the UN (and governments) work... or don't work.... there is no merit in being anything reliable or solid or decent since you will still be 'equal' under their paradigms with the lowest of the low....

I haven't seen the film and I'm guessing none of the people on this thread have either. Breitbart have just turned it into a political football.
Here's my take on this

There was barely a word said about series such as Dance Moms, Dancing Queen or Step It Up, all of which had pre pubescent girls doing "sexy" dances.

Along comes Cuties which has a Muslim girl as the main character. This immediately puts it on the radar of the far Right and, as always happens with modern identity politics, it became a pawn in the culture wars.

The picture below is from Dance Moms which had 8 seasons

I wouldn't waste a single second on that - how did it get any ratings? Fraud, like most of the rubbish on TV must get these days to have ratings?

So now little Sally-Anne cavorting on stage is normal and approved by Mums International. Jezuz - no wonder women should not be permitted to be the final arbiters of anything moral....

25+ years ago, they had a Hey Hey, it's Saturday Red Faces skit with some kid doing a parody of "Simply Irresistible", the Robert Palmer song. It featured some 10 or 11-year-old boy playing the role of Robert. Whilst teen girls dressed up as the back up dancers as featured in the original song. After the song was over, there was some concern about the sexualisation of the back up dancers. Daryl asked their ages. The ages of the girls ranged from 16 to 17 years of age. That was not enough to keep some of the audience appeased. But they had no choice but to accept this situation.

Whilst there is an age limit to what people should be allowed to do, there will never be any agreement on allowing children to dance around sexually.

The conservative right however are simplistically saying that you either agree with them or you support sexualisation of children.

16 is the Legal 'sexual' age of 'kids' - because 16 years of age is still 'kid' age. If 16 year old girls wanna dress provacative and gyrate their bodies to sexual explicit actions... because they do it in the American Black style only Media of the USA which is a Porn Industry attacking a President's personal life mostly.
Young Aussie females of 16 years of age should be attending College orgies like they do in USA. Where every white girl has to have a black male so as not to come across as racist. Black boy needs his free white sex like Aboriginals get $$$ hand-outs and benefits.

And the Dance Mom thing is another prime example .... if they have their even younger daughters dancing like the girls in Cuties & the 7 yr olds in the other video I posted.
