If Islam Is a Religion of Violence, So Is Christianity

Both sides have committed atrocities in the past that's a given.

Why do they do it?

Well who's following the doctrine of their religion to commit these atrocities?

1/. All men who commit atrocities are disobeying the teachings of Christ.

2/. muslims who commit atrocities are obeying the teachings of muhammad and following the qur'an to the very letter.

So what's the answer, how do we bring about a peaceful future?

Fact 0ne: Christians must get closer to the teachings of Christ to live peacefully.

Fact two: For muslims it's the exact opposite, muslims must distance themselves from the qur'an and the teachings of muhammad to be peaceful people.

Are ordinary every day people going to promote these two facts?

Christians must follow Christ and not commit atrocities.

How many people on here have the moral courage to denounce the evil teachings of muhammad in the qur'an, in order to try and promote peace?

I suppose someone will cite the ancient and superseded barbaric law in the O.T., well the answer's still the same, the law was fulfilled by the crucifixion of the Messiah on the Cross. Today man is justified by faith in Christ, not the deeds of the law. (just did that to preempt the nay sayers)

I do as they are the cause and motivation of the 100s of 1000s (quite possibly 1000000s) of rapes torture and slaughter carried out by muslims, for the past millennia and a half or so.

The false Christians are not following the doctrine of Christ.

They therefore must have some other ideological agenda, of which I know nothing, do you know?

Christians are in the minority as far as I can see, they are the ones being persecuted globally right now.

I do know for certain that muslims who commit human rights atrocities are following the teachings in the qur'an to the letter.

Knowing this I can justifiably criticize and condemn the cause and motivation of their atrocities (the qur'an), for what it actually is, a book of filth and perversion.

They call themselves, "Christians", Moses.  Perhaps they, like you, don't care what they are called?  Afterall, you don't follow the doctrine of Christ.  Tsk, tsk. 

I am prepared to criticise and condemn all who use religion as a crutch for their human rights atrocities, Christians, Islamists, Hindus, you name it.  You only ever criticise Muslims, making differentiation between the bad Muslims and the good Muslims, Moses.  I wonder why?  Your zealotry getting in the way of thinking about the issue perhaps?
