Check it out. Is this what our tax payers dollars are being used for these ex pollies ???
They can use their salary and pension to buy whatever they want.
I'm not sure what the issue is here.
Did I miss something?
Maybe if they had to wait for the normal retirement age to get their pension they wouldn't be so generous with their spending habits ?? In the mean time they can go get a job at Mcquarie bank or Crown Casino and spend their hard earned money on what they want !
Meanwhile the rest of us are reminded each day how we won't have enough for retirement and we should allow government endorsed super scammers to gamble our hard earned money on the share market like it is a national casino
There's nothing stopping you from entering politics, if you think the perks are so good.I still don't see what the issue is here.
Are you suggesting Rudd did something wrong?
Ah - another plant....
Well, son - the simple fact that the parties will gang up on you and drag up any fantasy about you to make you look evil and nasty is one good reason why decent people do not get into politics.
Those with the highest level of REAL grievance, such as your Black Brothers and so forth - have always been made into 'criminals' - as you so readily whine about when it suits - and so have really no voice. Same applies to 'poor white boys' - the ones who really grew up tough and were just mobile targets for the (criminal) forces of law regardless of reality - and so they have no voice, but plenty of grievance.
You spit on Tony Abbott for his being the sewer-rat of Liberals, dredging up any and every thing that might make any potential opponent look bad, and even being the fundraiser for crucifying Pauline Hanson - an utterly reprehensible thing to do - yet you seem to imagine that those MOST aggrieved can just walk into the door and get the power and the money to change things...
Let's see YOU stand for election next time around - you're in NZ, right? How many Maori do YOU know personally who don't have a 'bad record' and thus cannot stand to speak for their people?
And yet you cry about OUR Blacks and the way they are treated.... while offering nothing to actually help.
