Yep, the same "humble Labor man-in-the-street socialist" who was the 'architect' of the not-so-great idea of putting the pension age up to 67 (for everyone except pollies and their armies of 'hanger ons', of course).
Mind you, if Labor hadn't done it I'm sure the Liberals would have by now, they were even considering putting it up to 70 until they realized it would have cost them last year's Federal election.

I read a story in our newspaper last week where a recent study was done and the conclusion was that by the time the majority of workers reach the age of
50, they're lucky if they have another 8 or 9 years of working life left before they're worn out.
The pollies and senior public servants won't have a problem though - the most amount of energy the majority of them expend in a single working day would be getting up from their desks and walking to the toilet (and smoke/lunch breaks) and back.
