Former Australian chess representative John Adams has slammed the ABC for organising a radio segment discussing whether the popular board game is racist.

Professional economist Adams received a call from a Sydney-based ABC producer on Tuesday asking whether the game was racist because white always moves first.

“I just received a phone call from an ABC Sydney based producer seeking a comment about the game of chess,” Adams posted to Twitter.

“The ABC have taken the view that chess is RACIST given that white always go first!

“They are seeking comment from a chess official as to whether the rules of chess need to be altered!

“Trust the taxpayer-funded national broadcaster to apply ideological Marxist frameworks to anything and everything in Australia!

Historically, the 'guest' always went first, regardless of colour. But most of it's history, was changed to White first - don't know why? I was taught 'guest' goes first or flip a coin. Though I know 99% of people who play - make White go first.
I played against a Zimbabwean co-worker on a night shift (who beat me 3-0) who liked going White and joked that Black people look great in White (which I agree) like White people who wear Black (Music) which I also agreed and laughed at.

I think the Media is the only 'racist' around at the moment, besides the CCP and the Indian Caste system.

...to take it further, in a world of x8 Races - seems only 2 seem to exist to the Media.

Where are the other ethnicities and races, the LGBTWTF sexual orientations, religions (only bishops, no mufties or imams) on the chess board??
