Yale University was named after its benefactor, Elihu Yale who was the overseeing the slave trade of the East India Company in Madras.

Will Yale University change its name?

Meanwhile At Cambridge University, this mother is promoted to full professorship:

Priyamvada Gopal (born 1968)[1] is a Professor in the Faculty of English at the University of Cambridge, where she is a Fellow of Churchill College. Her main teaching and research interests are in colonial and postcolonial literature and theory, gender and feminism, Marxism and critical race studies.

Of course.

Yale University will be named "Terauchi" in honour of the Japanese commander of the Burma Railway.
Count Hisaichi Terauchi (寺内 寿一, Terauchi Hisaichi, 8 August 1879 – 12 June 1946) was a Gensui (or Field Marshal) in the Imperial Japanese Army.

He enslaved the Australian Army and will have a statue to replace Queen Victoria in Sydney , who was a woman and cranky old tart.
