I usually "press 1" to talk to the operator but they always hang up before I can abuse the crap out of them.
And you wonder why they keep ringing you?
The only unwanted call we've had on our landline in the past month was last Wednesday evening at nearly 7 o'clock. I only found out when I checked the phone a few hours later.
Googled the number and it was a survey. Not sure why they would be using an 03 number to call people in WA but there you go. Unless they really were in Victoria which would be most unusual for these types of calls.
Good old Telstra Call Guardian, the phone doesn't even ring for unwanted calls, best home phone I've ever bought.
The only other unwanted calls we've had prior to that were about 3 attempts
from our own number over a period of about 2 weeks in April. The scammers will try anything to get around call blockers, etc. these days.
Found out I can block our own number as well with the Call Guardian without affecting anything else so I did that after the first 2 attempts (which went straight to the answering machine and they immediately hung up).
I only blocked our own number because I was concerned that my 90 year old aunt may have answered it if I wasn't there at the time.
