Ministers for Pork should be judged by a jury of 12 before the funds are given.  Guilty suspects lose super and pension by fixed percentage, rising with repeat offending.  They sit in parliament sin-bin next to Pauline.

So, why do voters in countries with a higher standard of living than Australia feel comfortable with 4 years (or 5 years in the case of Ireland) but you don't?

They also have colder climates than Australia you think that relates to the election terms as well ?

If the term in power impacts the development index why is Ireland not number 1 ?

What data shows they like it or wanted it anywhere ?

I could be like Australia where the politicians vote them-self the additional time in office.

Let me put it another way.

Voters in Australia seem content on electing their state and territory governments every 4 years (QLD even voted for an increase from 3 years to 4 years a couple of years ago!); but they seem reluctant to give the same standard to Federal Parliament??

The problem is that I go into too much detail, which is why people just dismiss it as a thought bubble or a brain fart. No one likes to admit they're stupid.
